[Faye] Subversive Advertising


Today we looked at what subversive advertising was and how it can help deter or attract away from a product. We were issued with a few examples of work; such as Burger King being called Obesity King. This is what subversive advertising is when it comes to detering people away from a product. On the other hand, the use of subversive advertising to attract people to a fact, this was done by the WWF. They put bottles and straws into enviromental pictures however only subtle to make the viewer realise what they were doing to the enviroment.

We then looked online at examples of subversive advertising and went away and planned and drew up a version of our own after researching into it. My choice was malboro as they were advertising for kids to smoke.
