We were tasked to create ghostly images by following a power point we were given on moodle.
To create theses images we used a selection of tools such as the Quick Selection Tool, Pen Tool, Zoom Tool, Layers, Folders, Opacity & Filters. These were used for various reasons and were most appropriate for what I needed them for.
To begin, I searched the internet for images of an abandoned asylum, scary men and normal men. I then used the pen tool and quick selection tool to remove the background from these people. I then adjusted the opacity to 50% and 34% dependant on their distance and size. The 1st image shows 4 ghosts, on in the middle, one on the right and 2 on the left (randy ortan RKO and a man). All of these people are desaturated and have a Gaussian Blur of 12.5
For this next image I searched the internet for a backdrop of abandoned staircase and came across this image. I then googled man walking down stairs and cut him out via quick selection tool and pen tool and placed him on the stairs. Next, I edited the Opacity and Desaturated the man followed by adding a Gaussian Blur at 12.5. I then added a colour correction out of a GFX pack, causing the green effect on the staircase adding to the wierdness.
For this image I searched the internet for Black Ops II Zombies and came across this, so I used it as I felt I could do something quite creative with it. I used the Pen Tool to cut out the front of the bus and then added to a new layer (Ctrl + C & Ctrl X, Ctrl + N) I then altered the layer order to place the man (using the same techniques as the previous 2 pictures) behind the front of the bus causing it to seem like he is inside of the bus.
In the second session we were tasked with trying to work with the shape tool. We used a selection of tools such as Add Anchor Tool, Quick Selection Tool, Gradients e.c.t. and this is my finished piece:
