[Faye] Advertising Theory

Today we started to begin learning about the advertising module of our course. We started the day trying to log onto our accounts which failed, so we used the guest account to set up our new emails and bloggers.

Later on, we looked at slogans, then we had a small quiz on advertisements. Following this we went into groups to create our own advertisement by mind mapping a selection of things that we put together about our audience, place and product. We had old people at a bus stop and our product was shampoo. We put ideas together and came up with the name "silver surfer" because this is the term used for good lucking elderly people. We used a red bottle to allow it to stand out from the forest in the background.

We put the idea's into a big drawing on on a A3 piece of paper and then went through who would say what and when followed up by us presenting our idea and final design to the class and teachers.

In the future I would like to be more confident, hopefully this will come with getting to know my class more but it is an area I wish to improve on.
