[Faye] Sound in Advertising

 

Skoda car Advert

We watched the Skoda car advert and the tempo was fast with a major key causing a happy mood. There was a non-diegetic sound as the music was not seen on screen.

DFS sofa Advert 

After this: We watched the dfs sofa advert where the music would play at a minor tempo then after a change of scene, the music stops then increases in tempo. This happened several times. There was some diegetic sound when the man turns the wall you can hear some kind of pull and movement.

Mac makeup Advert

We watched a makeup advert; The tempo was minor and the keys were relatively minor. There was some diegetic sound as the hairdryer blew however there was also some water but that wasn't seen so therefore is non-diagrtic sound.

Class work

We also went through a sheet which we identified adverts and went through the types of music terms found in adverts.
