[Mark] Photography Proposal

Proposal
For the photography assignment, I went through my list of inspiration (shortened 5 images) and I selected one individual image that I wanted to recreate. This is the image.

Props The props I used was chips from McDonalds and Marlboro Cigarette’s. I used these as they looked similar to the image and would represent a unique effect to my work.
Equipment The equipment I used was a selection of items; for the camera I used the camera itself with a tripod. To provide lighting for these shots I used a ‘Red head’ light which can get very hot so we took safety precautions when it came to opening the barn doors and taking the light apart from the light stand. These were that it can become incredibly hot so we need to use items such as pens or pencils to adjust the positioning of the barn doors. The final piece of equipment we will use is a seamless background. This is made up of 4 pieces of white A3 paper/card stuck together with drawing pins - this is to allow the background to be white and easy to remove on photoshop when it comes to editing the images.
Precautions When it comes to taking the photo’s we want to be very cautious when it comes to taking the pictures because you don’t want too much light or too little light. You also need to be sure that there are no safety hazards when it comes to taking your pictures whether it is burning yourself or tripping over cables and so on. We also need to be sure not to have any visible shadows as it may cause unnecessary work when it comes to editing the objects
Editing The images will need to be edited; some more than others. We can use tools such as Brightness/Contrast although Mark told us about Levels & Curves to alter the background and overall image to be perfect white. This will then need to be cut out on photoshop via methods taught to us by owen or we know ourselves (personal preference).
